PENUMBRA: Recording Update
April 3, 2007French gothic metal band PENUMBRA has entered the studio to record three new tracks, to be released later in the year. "The entire songs are now recorded — drum, bass and guitar parts are ready!" the group writes on its web site. "We are now recording the voices and the choir! Some new arrangements explore approximately the same ideas that [on PENUMBRA's last album] 'Seclusion' [2003]. You will be able to hear some of them introducing new instruments from Japan."

PENUMBRA last year announced the addition of female singer Asphodel to the group's ranks. "Asphodel's beautiful voice perfectly suits the new musical direction PENUMBRA has taken since 'Seclusion'," the band previously wrote on its web site.
PENUMBRA's "Seclusion" CD was released through the Season of Mist label.
